During his transition from a life of homelessness, addiction, incarceration, and negativity, “Testimony” would write positive quotes and words of affirmation on sticky notes and stick them to his bathroom mirror — a daily source of motivation and strength.
In this evocative collection, he uses the metaphor of “Sticky Notes” to capture and reflect on the pivotal moments of his life's journey. Each track embodies a note left behind — a sticky fragment of wisdom, a moment of clarity, or an impartation of grace gained through God's love and power to overcome tribulation, face fear, and walk through life's trials.

YOU LIFT ME UP
Released June 19, 2026, "You Lift Me Up" is Alvin "Testimony" Bowman's deeply personal tribute to the moment his recovery truly began. Set against soulful, gospel-tinged production, the track traces his first day sober — walking away from addiction, incarceration, and street life, and choosing instead to put his faith fully in God's hands.

The song opens on the raw reality of early sobriety: facing a mountain of neglected mail, mending relationships with family and friends who'd grown afraid to be near him, and looking in the mirror to recognize himself for the first time in years. It's a portrait of the unglamorous, difficult work of rebuilding a life — paired with the gratitude of a man who knows he didn't do it alone.
Threaded throughout is the "Sticky Notes" imagery that defines Alvin's larger body of work — the positive affirmations he wrote and kept close as daily anchors of hope.
